A hydrosol is a liquid solution that contains water and plant extracts. When you distil a plant for its aromatic quality you obtain two products, an essential oil and a hydrosol.
The hydrosol is a gentle, water-based version of the essential oils. Hydrosols can be used for various purposes, including skincare, aromatherapy, and herbal remedies. They're known for their subtle, soothing effects and can be a great option for those who find essential oils too potent. All the medicinal properties of the plants can be found in the hydrosol. You can dilute the hydrosol in water as a drink.
Therapeutic properties: Hydrosols can retain some therapeutic properties of the plant, such as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, or antioxidant effects.
