The benefits of ghee.
Ghee or clarified butter has many health benefit. It is according to Ayurveda the best lubricant for the human body. Ghee is tridoshic so good for every constitution. It’s hazelnut taste make it goes well with any cereals and cooked vegetables.
Ghee activates the digestive system and prevent the formation of Ama( toxins). It is highly nutritive and built muscle, bone marrow and increase sperms. It helps to raise vitality and a good immune system. It strengthens the nervous system. Ghee increase intelligence and ameliorate the voice and the sight. It is a great tonic for the liver, the kidney and the brain. It is better than butter because it doesn’t burn when cook.
It is considered sattvic (spirituel), its taste is sweet and fresh with an emollient post digestif effect.
One spoon in the morning on empty stomach guarantee a good digestion.
It can be use externally as well. Ghee nourishes the skin and soothe the eyes. It helps with vision and with any eye inflammation.
The recipe for making ghee:
1) Heat organic unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Leave to foam for 30 to 45 minutes until brown particles appear and stick to the walls or fall to the bottom.
2) Remove the foam with a spoon or ladle. Gently pour the butter into a glass jar through several layers of muslin (or a tissue), taking care not to carry away any solid particles at the bottom of the pan. You can stop there. Keep it out of the refrigerator and in the refrigerator for several months, in the freezer indefinitely.
